Easter and Spring Break 2010

Easter and Spring Break coincided w/MeMe coming to Cali so we planned a little trip to a fun resort in Palm Desert and we had a blast. This was our first true "family friendly" resort and it has its perks for us parents.

Our Easter Bunny was so very very smart that when we got to our rooms he had delivered our baskets early w/ new swim suits, pool toys, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a few new games for down time at the room!!!!! I was very thankful.

We were very appreciative that the Easter Bunny made an early delivery (but Ty and Brit made some other kids worried who's Easter bunny did not visit them on Saturday) (Oopsie - He He)
Celia's up on her tippies to check this out:)

Everyone got new shades

And goggles - of which Britain lost 2 pair in 2 days in the lazy susan:(

Anyone up for a limbo contest!!!!! Britain has been asking for one and the bunny noticed one on sale for $2 at Walmart.

I think Ty said it all w/ his excitement.

The hotel had three dif't Easter egg hunts - of which we went to all three. During the third hunt (when the golden egg had not been found) Brit and Ty said they were ready to leave and go back to the pool. We told them to get their little tushes back out there to find the golden egg worth a FREE night at the resort. Honestly - you should have seen the adults (me included) looking for this egg - they had to start giving out hints and it still took 30 minutes for some other lucky kid/parent to find it!!!

Brit - ready to go at the first hunt.

Celia had her own private basket holder:)

Easter morning - it was beautiful.
Rancho Las Palmas at night
Celia's bubbles were a big hit. Again being family friendly newbies - I just thought it was so amazing how you could eat dinner at an outdoor amazing restaurant table - they had craft tables, balloon animal people, etc.. to entertain your kids (while making a tasty pomegranate margarita:) And then after dinner all the kids were just playing together on the golf course. It was so much fun.
OK - so maybe the bubbles were for me!!!

Every afternoon after the pool a few friendly ducks came up looking for handouts - this was a clothing optional exercise for Celia.

Then of course the pool and the slides and the lazy susan. The water was a little chilly though - but it didn't bother the kids.

Oh - yeah - that's my hunky pale man walking my way - we got a little sun on him that weekend though.

yeah, it sure does look like a super fun place!! We should go there sometime :) How long is the drive to Palm Springs/Desert from your house? It'd be the perfect place to end up at after a disney vacation!
