Banff Springs Canada August 2011

So we planned a little trip to Canada where my sweet hubbie found a conference to go to, and invited Twila and Grandma and Grandpa to join us.  It was a wonderful trip.  We stayed in Banff for 4 days and then in my next post I'll show pictures from Lake Louise (one of my favorite places:)
The view from just a little bit above our hotel.

Love their cheesy "cheese" smiles
My little hikers - at this point Trey and Ty are 1/2 mile ahead of us
Banff Springs Hotel - not where we stayed - but we walked through and it is gorgeous

Grandma and Grandpa met us for a Subway dinner by the river

The next day we took a little gondola ride for some beautiful views

Ty again - way ahead of me - I used to be that person!!!!!
The brochure described it as a 1/2 mile hike at the top - they failed to mention it was all stairs
But we made it there

All of us who embarked on the venture made it - Celia even hiked most of the way

And they're off - racing back to Grandma and Grandpa

Celia did sucker MeMe into carrying her down the stairs
Ty and I ventured off path a wee bit
And saw some wildlife
And then back to base camp for some ice cream
And of course some juice after all that hard work
It was beautiful

And then we went for a mountain bike ride while Celia napped:)  Britain is quite the biker
And saw momma and baby moose

And occasionally we had to walk our bikes
And then we were off again

Washington Mar 2011

So we took a little time on Spring Break to visit the old neighborhood and visit some good friends:)
I forgot my camera on the day we got together with some of our other dear friends and regret that I don't have pictures with Heather and Trish's children.
Britain and Jackson were the cutest thing tandem scootering.

Ryn has grown up quite a bit since last trip

Jackson and Britain were trying to one up each other in their jungle gym antics

Ryn was able to hold her own on the jungle gym:)
Our old house
Oh how I miss my view!!!!! and my neighbors:)

They've also added a new park since we left - we like the new spider-man park.
Jill and I definitely have some spider monkeys on our hands.
Jacob - trying hard to keep up with older brother.

He's King of the Mountain

None shall pass

After Jill graciously hosted our family of 4 travelers - we found another great friend who lives close to the Seattle airport who agreed to let us ransack her house:)  She also has three children - but somehow I missed having a picture of her youngest - Carter - he was napping during golf.
The girls loved having a sleepover with Ava.
And Celia loved all the attention.
Ty and Christian were mainly into video games - such boys.
Although they take their golf pretty seriously as you can tell.
The disappointment of his last shot written all over his face.
Celia likes to line her ball up and shoot it like pool.

And then of course messy snow cones right before heading to the airport:)

We had such a great trip and enjoyed seeing everyone so much - we may just do the same thing next year.  Jill and Marcus better finish redoing the basement bathroom!!!

A little flashback picture stolen from the Fry blog:)
